Terms & Conditions
Last updated 16 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Onesmus and any online store or point of sale you run on it.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Onesmus, including the dashboard, the point of sale and any online store it provides, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Onesmus for a business you confirm that you are allowed to bind that business.
2. Your account
Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details and recovery codes safe. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for the staff you invite, and should turn on two-step verification. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Plans, billing and renewal
Some features are available on a free trial; paid packages are billed per cycle in the currency shown at checkout. If a payment is missed, a grace period applies after which features may be limited or suspended. You may cancel at any time and keep access to the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where the law requires. We may change prices for future periods with notice in the app.
4. What you are responsible for
You are responsible for the products and prices you list, the tax you charge, the receipts you issue, fulfilling and refunding orders, and your dealings with your customers. You must have a lawful basis for the personal data you put into Onesmus and must respond to your customers' requests about it. You may not sell unlawful goods or services or use Onesmus to defraud or harass anyone.
5. Online stores and payments
If you publish an online store, you are the seller. Payments are processed by third-party providers under their own terms; Onesmus records payment status but is not a bank and does not guarantee that a payment will be approved, settled or reversed. Refunds you record in Onesmus do not move money by themselves: you must pay them out. Gift cards you issue are your liability to your customers.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, probe or overload the service, access another merchant's data, bypass limits or security, or reverse engineer the software. Do not upload malware or unlawful content. We may suspend an account that puts the platform or other people at risk.
7. Your data
You own your business data. You give Onesmus the right to process it to provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export backups, and you can close your account at any time from Security settings; after the 30-day hold your business data is deleted.
8. Availability
We work to keep Onesmus available and backed up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or retire features, and will give notice where a change would reasonably affect you.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Onesmus is not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profit, and our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Onesmus at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if payment is not made after the grace period, or if the law requires. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example payment obligations and liability) continue after the agreement ends.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date above; continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe and disputes are subject to its courts.
